Re: Up With People > Grateful Dead |
I am wondering why anyone would be sending this out - what is his point? Why would he send this to you in particular?
There are all kinds of people in this world, some "negative", some positive - whether they're deadheads or not is inconsequential.
Up With People made me vomit. What an asshole.
[edit: I used to hang around UM in the 70s... it was a haven for hippies and heads in the Midwest, with every substance available. Certainly a very radical, out there place for its time. His generalization of Michigan students is ludicrous, a tiny sample of a large campus. I saw more stoned people there than anywhere I've ever been. Good times!]

Re: Up With People > Grateful Dead |
Not to me in particular - but to everyone on his mailing list. It seemed a bit ridiculous as his target audience is attorneys and I know dozens, if not hundreds, of deadhead attorneys, including the former Solicitor General of the U.S. I guess he shaved his goatee and showered before arguing before the U.S. Supreme Court.
